Bag Charm Accessories – Cherish it or Chuck it?

Bag Charm Accessories – Cherish it or Chuck it?

Bag Charm accessories—Pom-Poms, Pom-pons, Bag Bugs.

Just take a gander at any one of your favorite Celebrities Instagram pages feeds and you’ll see that they’re everywhere; multiplying like the cute fuzzy-wuzzy-furry little creatures in the Goonies movies. Gigi Hadid, Olivia Palermo, Kylie Jenner, and Cara Delevigne are just a few of the celebs who have become completely ATTACHED to clipping these cutesy charms onto their bags. It’s all about personalization, with the logic being that identical handbags can be made to look different with the mere addition of one or more of the attention-getting bag charms. It does seem sort of logical when you really think about it. And the big name designers (Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Hermes) have all been on accessories watch, wanting to cash in on the idea, anticipating a bauble boom. Fendi released a version of the bag charm called the Karlito Buggie, after renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld and there was an actually a wait-list. Super unbelievable? It’s not a bird, or a plane, but the same special edition Karl Lagerfeld buggies that are selling for thousands of dollars on Ebay, from sellers looking to score big profits.

Bag Charm Accessories – More Than a Style Accessory

For those of you who believe that Bag Charm Accessories may be nothing but a fad, you may want to reconsider. A bag charm can do double duty in serving as both a charm or a key ring holder. And while we’re on the subject of style, if you’re one of those fashionistas who’s totally against fur, you still can stand your ground. Bag Charms also come in faux fur, silver, or even metallic gold .

The Makings of an “It Accessory

Whether you’re sold on bag charms being one of those “IT Accessories” that you just have to have or not, just know that there are always options. Even if you’re only slightly interested, just remember that the real selling point of this specialty item is based on individuality. And you don’t have to shell out big bucks to get in on the trend when there are sellers like Etsy and lots of smaller online retailers.  You might even find one that is unique to your personality. A bag charm that you’ll grow to CHERISH? Hmmm…stranger things have happened in the world of accessories.

Love this article. Just looked it up. I went to the mall and a worker at Aldo’s said, “I love your bag charm it looks the the one Kylie Jenner has. Do you know of the her. I knew of them and the Kardashians except I got my item because I thought it was cute. I also got mine before the Kylie. I looked up the Jenners and pom poms and saw that her’s was similar to mine. I got the faux version on ebay. Looks the same only fox fur instead of mink. When I looked up the pompom/jenner photos I saw your article pics and decided to read it. It is great. I just put up a youtube page on where to get Fendi bugs/bagcharms on the web, ebay and amazon. Its under the screen name koibitoo bui on youtube titled Fendi bagcharms. I put up the video a few weeks ago. I saw the Fendi bugs in 2013. Now I have the fur pom poms and one bag bug. Long story short it was nice to see that someone else sees value in a bagcharm weather mainstream or not. There is a youtuber feels that bagcharms are horrible. But he is a man not a woman. Everyone has the right to accessorize to personalize. To each his/her own.

And as for that Youtuber who doesn’t like bag charms? Well, it’s our world, and we’re just letting this person live in it. That. Was. A. Read. 🙂 Please come back anytime.
